420 is wider than 415, but will usually work, same as #41 industrial chain found most everywhere for garage door openers

415 is usually best, but needs to be ordered online or from a local repair shop if there is one in your area

I just bought 400ft of high-grade american steel, grease impregnated 415H chain for my shop, really good, but really hard to cut even with my heavy duty chain breaker.

OK because I can get a 420 chain at a motorcycle dealership near me but I just wanted to make sure I could do it before I bought it

that sounds expensive - many times #41 can be found at 'tractor supply' or 'home depot' cheap - 10ft (enough for two chains) for under $20
