What did you see at the Oct 22 Grange race?

I must admit, the most impressive thing I saw was me getting beat by 3 teenagers on that track......and they beat everybody else too in the big bore classes!

The biggest congrats from me go to PaulD, Female e-bike rider (sorry, I don't know your name) and ccc's son Jonathan Wolf (the new IceMan)!!! You kids are amazing! We ALL got spanked by kids

I know I wasnt in contension for a prize I just wanted to see the awarding to the guys.It's cool to see your faces when you get them. swollen with Pride..

Something else I saw a bunch of guys comming in to deep and screwing up the lead riders line
no way could they pass at that point Remember the lead rider has the line it's up to you to pass safely. maybe LEARN SOME RACING EDUCATE....dont know if i spelled that right..you get the point. FLEX....

The prize ceremony got derailed because the portable mike
stopped working and a lot of riders left early.

Manic Mechanic is giving custom made sprocket adapters with
a 28 to 72 tooth sprocket so they are being mailed directly to
the winners.

magrider received his MM Gen II billet head at the track for winning
the 2 stroke race.
and Sick Bike Parts is mailing their 2 and 4 stroke shifter kits to the
winners as well as an exhaust and some other goodies.

AGK of AffordableGoKarts.com gave out some cool prizes to the 4 stroke winners.

Here is the dust devil that ripped through the track in the afternoon!

Wow! The adversity overcame for everyone....Their machines! The diversity and so many different looks/styles/roots. Their is lots of talent here!! Certainly a favorite bike for anybody to love!

Sorry about any confusion Ed and thanks for the coffee on
Saturday morning!
There is no need to qualify for the final as ALL the racers get
two 5 lap heats and a 12 lap final.

There is no need to eliminate anyone, so more track time gotta
equal more fun, right?

The heats are to get more practice time in to learn the track
under race like conditions so pushing it too hard is not the best
strategy.
Maybe at the next April 7th race we will use the heats to set the
starting grid order for the final 12 lap race, but that will take a little
more organization.

Also how does everyone like the number of laps in the heats and finals?
The finals could be 14 or even 16 laps.
The Ultimate race will definitely be longer next April 7th 2012

AirEd on his Harbor Freight 4 stroke which I had a long of fun
riding around the track on Friday.

Air Ed was a beast on his Bike. It was definitely a sleeper...his bike was pretty fast!

I'll second that and look at that big GRIN THATS what its all about...........

I only saw about 3 guys posting pics in the main race thread.

Would love to see a lot of shots of all the very cool bikes in the pits
and of everyone that made the event a fun day.

The 2nd Sick Bike Parts prize winner in the 50 cc 4 stroke class goes to BigBoy or scotto
who came in 3rd on his Huasheng.
I am not sure if the SBP 4 stroke prizes were only for the Honda or Huasheng 50 cc clones

I saw that I need a faster mb. I have one brewing in the pot and maybe it'll make its debut in April.

It was nice meeting you Ed, sorry I didn't wake up early and help you with your jetting...it wasn't till after midnight that the Piston party settled down a bit and I finally zonked out.
