Very nice idea but the price is insane $179.99, you got to be kidding. There are many rear view systems you can buy on Ebay for less than $40 to $50 which are better. Or you can do as I'm doing and recycle a broken auto head rest DVD player.

I have confirmed that the LCD back light works by applying 12 volts to it. I still haven't confirmed that a rear view camera will put out enough video to activate the LCD. I've been checking Ebay for universal rear view cameras and there are many for $10 to $20. Once I've received a universal camera and confirmed compatibility I'll post a follow up. If this display is not compatible then I'll buy a stand alone monitor which I've seen many can be purchased for $20 to $25.
