just curious if anyone has wrapped a mag without the white wire winding on it?

thinking of giving it a try with a spare mag and see if it will give a stronger spark (and possibly allow for more winding on the coil)

still trying to learn how to figure final output voltage from coil windings, the goal here is ultimately to make a coil that can give a stronger spark and possibly be able to run a separate mag for lighting. (something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electrical-...ltDomain_0&hash=item5d26a5fe56#ht_3508wt_1139 i got the 12v one to play around with)

I tried with an old broke one. There's an alternates shop across the street from my computer shop. Didn't even work as good, machines wind them. wire thickness depending on volts or amps, forgot what the number of wraps do, The biggest problem was tension on the wire.

The generator is easy I posted that somewhere, here http://motorbicycling.com/showthread.php?t=35495&page=4 last page fits nice and clean (I believe it's the same thing as on ebay for 40.00). I know it's only the 6v inerd's but with out the 12V part it puts out any where from 9v-18v dc pulsing.
