OK I just got a husky front wheel with the drum brake. Is it ok to drill a hole in the brake arm to attach it to the fork, or will that weaken it to much. bye the way I have a springer for stingray style. Any other ways you can think of will be helpful. THANKS.

I used a large hose clamp for my sturmey-archer drum front on a solid fork, maybe a smaller screw type hose clamp will work for you? Unscrew it until you can pull the band from the screw unit, wrap around brake arm AND fork arm of your choice and tighten. Test for a block under hard braking, then tighten again. Check it periodically, if it comes off you're in for a world of hurt...

I like the bolt idea better, even though many people have gotten away with the hose clamps just fine. I'd prefer something as solid as possible. My drum arm has a slotted hole (not husky) How much room do you have on the arm width wise?
