Well done to your buddy. Early Specialized bikes like that one are tough to find. (Looks like a GT LTS from a distance). The earlier rear suspension bikes are easier to motorize because the have more room in the frame for mounting.

On that engine I noticed that the spark plug enters the head at an angle. This is a great feature for bikes with clearance problems, like mine. Could you elaborate on that HT head a little?

The engine is a 49cc but I don't know where he got it. Many engine sellers have engines equipped with the "slant head". They are more predominant on the 49cc engines but some sellers are starting to offer them on the larger displacement engines as well. You can also purchase the slant heads separately from some of the sellers as well.

I think it is a 19 inch, my buddies Specialized is smaller, I think it is a 17 inch, probably wouldn't have worked without the slant head.
