I just started a new build last week. I've never done a build as in depth as this one before, or as period looking.

I'm starting with what I think is an old columbia frame, but I'm really not sure. At any rate, it's kool and as really nice patina'ed orange paint. I started making the tank for it in shop class on Monday. As far as the motovation, I'll be transplanting the china girl out of my other bike until I can get a new one.

I've never seen pictures of beach racing from the 10s or 20s, but I'm sure they mustive done it, seeing as the beach is one of the best places for going fast. Anyhow, I want this bike to look like how I imagine a beach-racer would have looked in the era.

Ill post pics as soon as I get em uploaded to my photobucket.

Thanks man! I read somewhere they did beach racing on Long Beach before a motordrome was constructed in the late teens....

If anyone has any info or pics on the subject, Id love to see it!
