The engine I have is a Predator 212, but this info is for any of the clone engines.
The motor was very lean out of the box, so much so that cracking the throttle from idle resulted in the motor dieing.
This was done with the stock muff and no air cleaner (I don't think the air cleaner being off made much difference at that low speed).
Turns out that the jetting I ended up on the main jet is the size limit for stock class go-karts- 33 thousandths on the main jet.
The limit is 18 for the idle jet.
I am at 17 on the idle jet and I just ordered 2 drills from McMasterCarr- a #66 and #77, to be able to open the idle one more thousandth to 18 and have both of the proper size drills on hand.
I am running a low restriction muffler and aircleaner.
