I just got a 4 stroke kit, and to my dismay i think i have a Hoot gear box. The new style on with 2 large gears, and no clutch lever. Well i tryed turn in the gear box by hand, and it was hard, but it would turn. Now i fired the engine up and the sprocket wont stop even at idle. WTF? Can anyone help me, i know these are a pain in the ass but if anyone knows whats up i would appreciate some help. Thanks guys

Hi Mobbin, the clutch will probably work just fine, with apparently full disengagement, when the chain is connected, and the wheel is on the ground, and idle set correctly. However, too much idle rpm will result in the bike "pulling" even at idle fully stopped.

It is not uncommon for centrifugal clutches to spin the output at no load.

Your clutch pads may be dragging just a little in side the little clutch bell. Like the previous poster said, with the chain attached you should be fine.cvlt1
