This has been an ongoing subject as to what works and what has issues when it comes to fuel supply. I am with Baird when he said the stock pet-cock is restrictive on a modified motor. I also find the supply line everyone is using or trying to use is complete junk and does not last, nor is it safe at all. The lines should be clamped or safety wired to keep secure. I chose to safety wire, it's a simple.

The fuel line I use is 1/4 vs 3/16

•High quality transparent fuel line
•Resists weathering, kinking, tearing, abrasion and impact
•Contains no plasticizers that cause hardening

The pictures will show what I use to make a high quality fuel supply system that flows and is safe.
The petcock is available from the local hardware store
