Hello from California, I am currently in the design phase of my next project.

I have decided to use the 48v Phoenix hub motor arrangement on a stretch cruiser bicycle. My question is should I be considering the Micargi Mustang as the base? I have received feedback stating that they are weak and cheap and may flex and/or break under the weight and strain of my 200 lbs and 35 lbs of batteries.

Has anyone used a Phat stretch cruiser for their project?

What are the strongest stretch cruiser bikes that I should be considereing for my project?

Any advice could save me time and possible injury, Thanks

Welcome to the forum, glad you joined us.

There are several that have motorized the Micargi stretch with gas motors and have had problems. Don't know if that would be the same going electric.

Welcome to the forum.
Bike frames sometimes crack with gas motors (they vibrate much more) but I think the elec motor wouldn't harm a Micargi frame.
