Guess no one knows the answer. Can't get a wrench on it or a vise grip to hold without shifting and grinding out the vise grip teeth.

I use a length of broken belt and a pair of vice grips. Use it the same way you would use a chain whip or strap type wrench. You need to snap a belt first though ;)

Thanks for the help everyone. Don't have the broken chain sitting around. Will need a chain whip from harbor freight.
