When i fire up the motor it runs great for about 30 to 45 seconds the starts stalling or stuttering.

Anyone have a clue as to how to remedy this problem?

I thought it might be not enough tank vent, so i vented the tank more.

I thought it might be fuel line blockage because of my line coupler, coupler removed and the problem remains...

Help me! I baffled!

I saw your bike looks great.I know the engine is tilted quite a bit.Could be the oil sensor ? Or maybe the angle the carb is sitting at ? Try to lift the front tire and run it so the engine sits level and see what happens.

I running the stock one that came on the Honda.

I'm going to machine up a 15 degree elbow today and see it that makes the difference. It is VERY frusterating to have my cool fun new bike and not be able to enjoy it for more than 45 seconds at a time.

I had a 2 cycle happy time that did the same thing all of the sudden while riding down highway 101 in northern california. I took the carb apart on the side of the road and noticed some crap (filings, paint flakes, etc) around the float needle valve and in the jet. After I cleaned it out it ran pretty good.

You are going to machine up a 15 degree elbow to use where? why?

Where is a pic of your bike? please add it here.

The 4 stroke carbs plug up very easily as they have some very
small holes and the gas is crap.
There is no comparison to the 2 stroke NT primitive carb

As you will see in the picture the motor is canted forward 13 degrees and I was concerned that the float was being adversely effected. I'll give the carb a good cleaning and get an in-line fuel filter before I start "making chips".

BiMoPed, I plan be at your event this coming weekend. Is it cool just to show up and pay?

Are you bringing anyone or is it just yourself?

If you just show up without pre registering it will cost you $10
extra per person none of which will go towards supporting the
event.
Then you still have to pay the $29 entry fee. If you have extra
money kick it into the race.
Also you need a front number plate so pre registering and
getting a number will let you get that together before you come.

All the info is in the race thread although I know it's buried with
the chit chat. Would put it all in one place if I had the time.

That is a very cool 4 stroke that I would love to see up close.

Are you running it without an air filter?
What gearbox are you using? Do you have a pic of the other side?

Are you going to have a front brake?

If you get rid of that box muffler you will increase the power by a lot.

The air filter was off while bed testing the drive components.

I built the gear box & hydrualic clutch from scratch. I'm not inclined to show off my drive system until I've got a few hundred miles on it.

I am expecting the brown truck to bring the front disc hub today and wheel guru will be lacing up the wheel tonight.

I also plan to make a sweet stainless exhaust pipe, but doubt I have time before the weekend.

Here is a thread about the bike...

I'll send you an email regarding the race

I was a dirty carb!

I gave it a good cleaning and now it goes like "bat out of h*ll"!
Great news, the gas these days is crap and plugs up all those tiny holes.

Opti-2 is sponsoring the Willow Springs event and gave me a whole
box of Opti-miser fuel stabilizer packets to give out for the 4 strokes.

Only fuel stabilizer that has no alcohol in it.

i dont think its a motor angle problem its all in ur carb or petcock valve clean ur carb with carb cleaner and pull the float pin out and remove ur float and float needle and blow compressed air into the needle housing to back blow ur fuel inlet paint chips will not go through you needle seat, it will collect before that orface and starve ur engine of fuel and also make sure the carb vent is not plugged up that would be the steel tube that turns downward out of ur carb question for you do you know where i can find a parts list of chain case parts?
