Anyone ever try using a surface gap plug with the chinese motors? Especially for higher compression heads. Im thinking the NGK BUHW. I suppose it would mean you wouldnt have to worry about piston contact. I dunno just something I was thinking about while looking at spark plugs at canadian tire today. My 1986 50hp Mariner outboard boat motor has extremely high compression and it uses surface gap plugs. Anybody know if there are disadvantages to surface gap plugs?
