so I have a motor and the whole kit, I'd like to put it in a 20'' Micargi Hero bike my motor is a 49cc flying horse. my question is do you all think it will fit? I have seen a pic of the same bike with a 66/80 shoehorned in it so I'm thinking my 49 should fit nice and snug. so let me know if you think it will fit without frame modification (as i have no modding tools). I'll definately post pics when I'm done!

^ this is the exact kit I have.

Your best bet I think, would be if you contact them and ask if it will fit. They should know if it does and if they don't they should be able to find out.

The 49cc and 66/80cc motors are pretty much identical from the outside in size and shape, so the 49cc should fit the bike just like the 80cc.

One factor that can be different on a motor (any cc) is the head, straight heads require more room on top of them for the spark plug and boot, angle fire heads can be a bit closer to the top tube on the bike. If your spark plug is too close to the top tube to get the large rigid spark plug boot on the plug just change the plug wire and boot on your CDI to a rubber right angle automotive style. The rubber boot will flex to allow installation in a very small space.

Another factor that may be different from kit to kit is the intake manifold. Some are shorter, others longer, some are Z-tubes that put the carb out to the side a bit. So the intake size/style is also something to consider when asking "Will it fit"

However, both the head and the intake style can be changed and are cheap, so no biggie really. I would look at the bike you say has a motor squeezed in and see what kind of head and intake they are running and what kind of clearance it has to get yourself an idea on these issues.

Another thing that may be different motor to motor is the mounting width, some are slightly larger than others. Depending on the size of the bike tubes one motor may fit more easily than the other.

Those are the main points I believe, off the top of my head....

Good luck!

I think it will fit - I've seen them built up before, and I thought I'd like to do one myself- but never practical for me- would make a fun little scooter I think!

The small wheels wont give you much speed, so a smaller sprocket might be called for and would also give you more clearance in the frame.

Something like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/34-T-Sprocket-Bicycle-Engine-Kit-Motorized-Bike-UK-Ad-/120960999555

If you wait for them to post an "American ad" and they always have, the local shipping in US is only $5- under $30 total. then- I have two of these and they are featherweight.

Pirate Cycles used to sell a Hero with a chinagirl in it, shouldn't be too hard to get yours in there.

Ahahahahaa! Bikeberry doesn't know much of anything about what they sell, and I'm being generous when I say that.
