this whole thread has me rethinking the exhaust on my rebuild.
i have the chrome sbp expansion chamber, i used copper and quicksteel epoxy to piece it together. it has since vibrated apart and currently the wrap holds it together. i was planning on having a friend of mine weld it up properly for the rebuild but now i think ill look into real silver solder and mapp gas. i have some experience soldering copper with silver solder from art school. we used a "pickle" to clean the copper after annealing. it was a liquid we kept hot in crockpots. it would turn blue as it got old from the dissolved copper. if steel went into it it would become a copper plating solution...although not permanent like electroplating...
