The Wayback Machine got a new power plant. The Harbor Freight pump motor is now
propelling the CVT. What a difference! The EHO35, although a great engine, can't hold
a candle to this 2 stroke.

I took the clutch from the Subaru and installed it on the HF; perfect fit! I bent some new mounting
feet for the motor side and bolted it up to the CVT. Then simply attached the throttle cable and was
off and running. The motor started on the 3rd pull and warm starts were all 1 pull events.

Since the CVT was tuned for the Robin, I had to change variator weights to compliment the new power.
This engine really makes the CVT shine. With the original cvt tune the engine cranked to over 6800
RPM. Speed was good, tho I don't know exactly since I lost my speedometer a couple of weeks back.
After tuning, I got the cruising rpm down to 6200 and the cvt belt was high on the pulley. I was on a
30mph road near my home and was closing in on a car when I had to turn so I know I was over the
speed limit.
This seems to be a great little engine for the price. I just hope it holds up as well as the Robin.
