I'm building a custom wheel, and according to my actual rim diameter (not iso, I measured it and it doesnt match the iso), I need spokes that are 224 mm in length. I can get 224mm spokes for $0.93 a spoke, with shipping comes to about $40. Or, I can get 230mm spokes for about $24 shipped for a pack of 50. Will the 230mm spokes be ok? I was gonna put washers under the spoke heads to take up a little space and grind off any excess threads that are left sticking out. Any expert opinions on the matter?
