finally the new crankshaft has arrived I bought a c100 one witch has 51mm stroke now all I have to do is to machine a longer pin but there is no hurry about my v twin because I decided to build a single for this frame and start another more serius build for the v-twin and since I want this bike fast I will go the cheap way

yes Ludwig its the k7 a.j.s 1920my its the closest look of engine I can make if I want the bike to be ready for cristmass

I like them. There's something understandable, accessible about those old engines.

Occasionally an exposed pushrod engine cane lose one when the valves float a bit. There are two ways around it if you want to retain the old fashioned style. Either carry spare pushrods with you, or do what Gnome Rhone did with their licence built ABC, and have couple of discreet retaining loops to catch it when it bounces free.
