Is it similar to the 212/420 big brother? I have the online manual for the 79cc, and for the 212/420, and only the 420 will show the idle speed, which it claims it 1800 stock. I was curious if the 79cc is also 1800? Thanks.

I set the idle on my 99cc Pred approx. 1,950rpm.......it never dies while idling. By the same token it revs up to 7,680rpm, but I don't suggest you try attaining that kind of revs with your's.......seriously! My engine is built with some performance mods but is not real safe as the flywheel and connecting rod are not designed for these high RPM. This is warning enough....it's no joke!

Sorry I don't have something to measure RPM but for me it was pretty easy on this build...

Just set the idle so it does not stall or engage the tranny (Q-matic in this case) at idle hot of cold.

Just make sure your throttle cable is not setting the idle and the carbs throttle idle set screw it will work just dandy.
