I ain't getting it. Doing a lot of stop and go around Seattle I get probably get 25-35 (on a standard tank)? Anyone know a gas guzzler when they see one? It's my motorbicycle y'all!

Where are possible system errors? What could be causing this or have I fallen (we) under the false promises of the manufacturors.

I have the 66/80cc 2 stroke HFT.

What can I do to get better gas milage?

Stop and go riding really kills the mileage.
If you could do a non-stop ride, I am pretty sure that you would see numbers closer to the advertised mileage for these kits.

A standard tank is only a little over a quart or 1 liter. So. .If you are only getting 35 miles or so to a tank, that would be well over 100mpg.

The standard tank that is supplied in the Chinese tanks is a 2L tank. This is more or less about 2 quarts, or 1/2 a gallon.
So, 25-35 on a standard tank is about 50-70 miles per gallon.

i will normally see 65 to 80 mpg during breakin. (heavy oil ratio, new rings etc...)
during two full gallons of breakin (synthetic)
then get a new NGK-b5HS set to about 32. go to the 'broke-in' gas/oil ratio and i see 100+ mpg. the longer it goes the better it gets.
i have 4,000 miles on my RAW 80 and with 3 baskets and pulling a schwinn 2 wheel traier i get 135 mpg. pretty good
some of the kits come with a 2.5L tank (1-1/2 gallon. don't count tanks. i measure milage from a dry tank - 1 gallon fuel container -dry tank.

running threw the hills on dirt roads I got 66 mpg on break in 16 to 1. I am running opti II at 75 to 1 now and the last tank was 88.6 mpg. I have been using a 6 ounce measuring cup to fill up so i know exactly what i am putting in each time.

Bike and I are close to 300#. Cruising between 18 and 24 mph is where this ride works best on these old washboarded roads. I will upgrade suspenssion soon and maybe go a little faster, but i do enjoy the daily ride.

I am still tunning to my fuel ratio so I hope to get 100mpg before long. Good luck, and the hills up around Bothell would be a hard pull on these things.

I don't know if my info will help but my 48cc is in the th 100 to 110 mpg range, I have 48.5 miles on my trip computer since last reset and have almost 1/2 tank of fuel. 2.5 liter tank so 100mpg no problem.
