All those who maintain the fixies are too cheap and weak for a motor...
Here's one with over 1k miles and still going strong. No problems so far (aside from a lot of flats)
This Takara seems better built than the thruster, and is holding up much better than I expected. The owner reports no problems with the bike at all.
Whodathunkit?


Even the tires are doing well considering the speeds!
Next time you see one of these for sale at the outlet store for under $75 bucks,go for it!

I've got one of the Thruster bikes I picked up new for $49, I hate the multi color tires and wheels on it but the welds on the frame dont look to bad, will probably end up with a china girl on it but it will be a mild build with a large enough sprocket to keep the mph down to no more than 30mph.

may be a bad idea to motorize the thruster fixie but if I build it mild I'm hoping for an OK bike, its the bright green one so it will get attention for sure.
