I recently rebuilt my motor with a new top end. I decided to break it in with opti2 and I also added a see-thru fuel filter at the same time. After about 25 miles here is what what the fuel filter looks like:

Is the dark layer at the bottom normal? Is this some type of opti2 sediment?

Opti-2 is dark blue and looks darker than some oils in a transparent fuel filter. I wouldn't worry about it. I assume you mixed your fuel in a seperate container and not your bike's fuel tank.

Thanks guys. I guess it could be dirt in the tank or maybe an o-ring is breaking down, but it appears "oily" and that tank was cleaned out.

All fuel is mixed in a gas can and well shaken before going into the bike.

Nothing seized up yet so I assume the slippery good stuff is getting through the filter to the engine, but it does look odd.
