It's getting a mean look for sure and I like it. Have to think about color choices soon. I'm starting to like the yellow and red that is there now along with a little black thrown in.And it all comes together and looks like a motorcycle
I welded an arm onto the choke tab as you can see in the following pictures.
The arm is made from a nut cracker set, the pick to dig the nut out of its shell. I cut most of the handle end off and flattened the pick end some more before I welded it to the chokes cut down original arm.

I got the peddle side chain tensioner installed and I might have to add another link or two to the chain.
Is there any reason I can't run the ignition coil here above the cylinder?

Great to see your bike outside and standing on its own wheels. Your first ride can't be very far away now.
Two other locations the coil could go.

moped parts are certainly making so much more sense as the motorized bicycles take on bigger and even highly modified engines

HAHAHA... Everyone on all the forums I have this missed the part where I said, I will use a set without the cross bar.
Well I am of the belief if someone already came up with a good idea use it. Either buy one or make one and in the case of the Starter/Clutch cable bracket, I made one like the one made by Atomic.
Well I built a new work stand for the bike tonight because I wasn't happy with the first one.
You can also see that I shortened the pedal tension arm and added a half link to that chain so it can be set up right.
I modified a Puch throttle control so I could install a better twist throttle. As you can see here I cut out the twist throttle part of the right side controls.

Ok, try to ignore the fact that these are handle bars. In your mind picture some foot pegs down in place of the part where the hand grips would be. Of course they would be attached near where the bar bend for the hand grips.
The reason I am thinking of doing this is to make it more comfortable to ride.

I think the highway pegs are a good idea so you can stretch your legs on a trip. My only concern would be a pedal freewheeling down in a corner and hitting the road and tipping you off the bike.
Make some clip to hold the pedals in a horizontal position while easy riding? My off road legal only machine was stripped of the pedals and crank a long time ago. I just have fold up foot pegs. Are the such things as fold up pedals?

Was already thinking about making a stop so the pedals can't turn on their own while I am riding. Yes they do make a folding pedal.
I have come up with a new plan on the foot peg issue. Out with the highway pegs. If you look at the pedal in this picture you can see space behind it. What I am thinking of doing is to put a block on the crank shaft that has two holes in it 180 degrees apart. Then drill a hole in the crank arm. With this setup you would pull the pin and have the cranks facing the same way or like normal cranks. Last part is to install a stop so the pedals become forward facing foot pegs.
There was some where I saw that on this site, but don't remember where. What if a cop sees the pedals in that formation, is it now not a working pedal system? If I see the post again I mention it, or some one else might have seen it too.
