Amazing thread foureasy, thanks for all the hard work and for doing such a great job sharing it with all of us. I ride MB's and Mopdeds and run around most of the time on my MB with the moped kids because my MB is vastly more reliable and usually faster than my mopeds lol. Nonetheless, it's apparent that the technology in the motors of mopeds is way beyond the Chinese motors. I'm super pumped to see all the things you've tried and I look forward to trying to incorporate some of what you've done with my bike. I think I'll try to score a spare Puch head off one of my homies and see what I can get from it in terms of better cooling and compression, although my head is already milled, I imagine that I could use a Puch head and mill that as well, and maybe have better squish and cooling.
I am also reallly interested in finding a source for a balanced crank for my bike as the vibes at high RPM's are an absolute killer. I would love to have a bit smoother revving bike, that would be as great an improvement to my enjoyment of the bike as almost anything else.
Please keep us all in the loop on your continued progress and experimentation. I'm glad to see that the Haters from that old thread have all faded away, as they were obviously trolls and not helping move us all forward in any way.

That's really cool Foureasy, it will be a few weeks but something like that from you is certainly in my future, sooner than later. I believe my buddy has a puch cylinder head for me too, we talked about it yesterday. We were out riding our mopeds when we had a dual moped failure, lol. He broke his throttle assembly at the handlebars, then while towing him to our friend's shop, I blew up a ring on mine!
That's alright though, because I have some things I want to work on with my MB this weekend and am also waiting for replacement parts for my 70cc cylinder kit for my moped anyway. Too many projects make it hard to focus my limited resources on them all simultaneously.
I'm hoping the Homie will bring the cylinder head by my workplace today, where I can try to get it installed before the day is out. If not today, before the weekend is over for sure. Maybe I'll start a thread about it and show an update of my bike, sort of go over what I'm running right now and how it's doing. I run a shift kit but up here, and with the way I ride, there's simply no other way to go for me..

SHeesh! Monster there buddy! I hope I can get half that power! But I will have a shifter so it will easily do the MPH just not as snappy I think! I will be ordering up the crank from you soon, and I will also be getting a Puch cylinder and head as well! Love the tech!!
sweeeet i just read the entire thread and must say awesome it definetly seems like a future goal but as for now i dont have the finances i am more concerned about buiklding a reliable machine that requires general low maintanence well as low as a china engine kit can get
i couldnt help to wonder if it may be possible to take a chain saw and tranfer everything to the crank case from what i read most are normal operating in 13k range and the cranks and bearings are already up to snuff plus there built to accept reed valves
i dont know maybe they are just to different
also pretty pricey
i dont know alot about two strokes anyway my first one i bought a few monthes ago and havent had to take it apart yet
but i must say i think the crank is well balenced from whjat i read most have huge vibration at top speed but i have slight vibration maybe i just got lucky my hands barley even tingle

I just re-read this whole thread and wanted to say how much I admire what you have accomplished and your willingness to share what you've learned. Being an old guy I'll stay in the slow lane, but I was young once, too, and loved the rush of speed so I can just imagine what it must feel like each time you push it a little farther in performance. Awesome!

i too appreciate someone out there trying to best the little chines motor but im still wondering is it possible to put a chain saw motor into the crank case of a chines motor
well, i just got done reading this novel of a thread, and i LOVE it! best reed iv read all week.
gonna start my "puch" build. ebay has the parts, and i have the time. figured id dig up this skeleton of a thread. great one at that.

I agree completely.
I just dont understand how he hasnt been pulled over by a cop yet. And i have....
Also....
1.) He is using a coaster brake...insane.
2.) He is using a rag joint...insane. I thought it would rip the spokes out of the wheel with all that HP.
He should use a custom CDI and Opti 2 oil at 100:1 mix. Would definitely improve performance.
