Three Black Bikes..........

Two friend's and I went for a ride this afternoon up to Del Mar and back. No serious incedents except I lost my cell phone on Hwy 101 along Torrey Pines.....I got home to find someone had found it and I'll be picking it up tomorrow. That was lucky.....and these are the bikes we rode









Twas a fun ride....

Hi scotto- Yes, it looks like a lot of fun. The last three rides I went on the past couple weeks I must have left my one-liter fuel container on the sidewalk after refilling or it bounced out of my pack, and I lost a funnel with filter for refilling fuel, my eyeglass case and something else that I can't remember. This is very unusual for me. In the future I'm going to make a concentrated effort not to lose anymore stuff on the road. Thanks for mentioning that.

Looks like fun Scotto! Have you heard from Maxvision (Scotty), when we gonna do another SD big group ride? I went on that ride a newbie posted this past Saturday. Was a good time. looking forward to more big rides this Summer. Let me know your thoughts.

Riding with buddies is the best. While you were riding your black beauties in California, my friend Butch and I were riding our black Panthers in the lake country of northeastern Minnesota. Lotsa fun.
My last three builds have been black... Black is a winner color for a motorbike, showing road dirt, grease and grime less easily than most colors. By the way, if you pick up a little container of black fingernail polish it is great for doing touch-ups of scratches and scrapes and such. It dries quickly and even has it's own little brush. I also use it sometimes as the poor man's lock tight on bolts and nuts.

Yes Silverbear, black is beautiful......especially on motorized bikes! My old aluminum Black Ale and 2 of Pat's old Schwinns.....a '53 Tornado and the straight-bar '51? All 4-strokes anyway w/4G gearboxes. The black nail polish is good touch-up, decent thread locker and comes in handy on Halloween (if that matters).

Hang tight Keith, I'll see if Maxvision has gotten his sights on a ride yet, I just map them. We did 30 miles on this little cruise. Stay tuned.....

Nice riding scotto. I rarely get to ride with another MB, but at least now I can say I have couple of times.

All bikes are black at night, but after dark black bikes out shine all other colors.
