With a 23 inch top tube, your left knee will not hit anything. With a normal 20-21 inch top tube length, I do have to turn my left knee out to avoid hitting the motor. Keep in mind , I am 6 feet tall. Shorter riders may get away with a 20-21 inch top tube and not have to turn a knee out to pedal. On my K2, I have to turn my knee out to pedal. This took me 5 mins to adjust to this. A small price to pay for such a wonderful setup. Enjoy the ride...

Well.. We need to leave a certain amount of kits with no shift kits. Just in case the Government in all its wisdom decides to make shift kits illegal. But.. Since you have the Titan motor, if you ever decide to go with shift kit IF, that would only be a 95usd addition. Enjoy the ride..

hello all,

this looks promised but i cant help thinking...

in low rpm the motor is at 5000 through that gearbox 5:1 it comes to 1000rpm the drive sprocket the practice small for the gb is 8tooth the crank spocket is (lets be generous) 52t gives us a further reduction of (8t/52t the sprockets) .1538 thus the crank will be rotating at 153rpm (0.1538461538461 x 1000)?

Fireball, Hi And Welcome. If I Read You Correct - 52 T Divided By 8 T = 6.5:1 Ratio. Multiply That By The Gear Box Ratio Of 5 = 32.5 Final Ratio. You Could Pop All The Wheelie`s You Wish. To Get An 8 Tooth Sprocket You Need To Go To #25 Chain. 18:1 Final Ratio Is A Starting Point For Most 49cc Engines. HOPE THIS HELPS. RON .cvlt1

neat times, yes your are correct of the final drive ratio, but as i said, and correct me if im wrong but the pedals are spinning awfully fast. for ideal engine speed with the shown gerabox.

fyi i have a 8t sprocket is size 40 chain (bicycle chain) but its custom :).

I aware this is a freewhell crank however , imagine this; your engine is moving the bike at a certain speed through the crank (imagine all the mechism insde the latches etc) they will be spinning to fast for us to add any input (assuming they people still like to pedal these things) via the pedals. dont get me wrong i REALLY would like this to work as i think the design concept is good, but im questioning the technicalities. however the best proof is just doing it. so ill just wait. :)

Yes.. Fireball.. You are correct. At the higher speeds, human input is futile. There is no way any human could pedal fast enough to help with power input. But at the lower speeds, human input is feasible. Only at higher speeds, 35-45 mph does it get too fast for any one to keep up by pedaling. Not sure why you would want to help pedal assist at these higher speeds.. 35-45 is not fast enough? so.. You would like to pedal with the motor and push it to 50? Yikes !!

do you have 8 tooth sprockets that fit on a 9/16" -5 spline?.......my sprocket is 25 tooth,however, I also have a gearbox.:)

40 mph is possible. But 50 or 55? Those speeds are not realistic for the 50cc Titan on an everyday bike. Sorry no.
Duane, I was talking about a bike with no motor, just pedalling. As I said downhill. I've recently reached 57mph, again, pedalling with no motor. Non-standard sprockets.

You've also said there's no need for a sprocket smaller than 36t. I disagree. With the tuned pipe and high compression head my bike now cruises much smoother with 32t than with the old 36t. Top end went down but everything else much improved. If you indeed have overseas fabrication ability I'd strongly suggest looking into that.

Is it possible for the spandex crowd to go 55mph, YES IT IS. Especially downhill racing. Those guys can fly on their $5000 bicycles and thats with out auto tranny or a/c.

My bike fills me with humor - I giggle like a schoolgirl because of that dang thing. Why have a hobby that doesn't amuse? They look so... yeah - somber! Good word!

My machismo is suffering and I don't care a bit :D

Yes.. True.. I can ride my bike off a cliff and exceed 100 mph. also.. I have seen Pedal bikes hit near 80mph on level ground pedaling no motor. See this clip.. YouTube - World's fastest bicycles: Sam 73.16 mph (117.74 kph)
I was referring to us normal bikers with normalized bikes.. Typically 500 dollars or less bicycles with the 4 Stroke Titan. And.. Yes.. I too am addicted. I tell my wife before I leave the house, I am going out to pick up chicks on my bike. She just laughs as I leave.. I do love motor Assisted Biking !! MAB's Rule !! I still ride my Harley now and then to keep the battery up. But.. I can go places on my bicycle that I can not go with my HOG. Thems the facts !! Enjoy the ride...

Hi Dax, The Titans I Bought From You Sure Run Superbly!!! One Is Now On The Cvt And The Other Is On The 7 Speed Shifter. Was Not Paying Attention And Installed 6 Speed Cassette. I Think 7th Will Be For Down Hill Slopes. 6th Pulls My Fat Butt Perfect. Man The Shifter Is Perfect For Hills, Just Down Shift As Much As You Need. One Of The Gas Tank Bolts Fell Out Yesterday, I Heard It Hit The Left Pedal. Did Not Know What It Was At The Time. Went Back Today And Found The Shoulder Collar In The Exit Lane Of Hy 90. The Bolt Will Be Easy To Replace. Need To Tell People To Tighten Them Up. I May Shorten The Starter Ropes To 1/2. They Start So Easy!! Lol. The Shifter Makes The Mab 6 Times More Fun. Ron
