I saw a article in Gizmag magazine, on line, concerning bicycle lighting. Fella developed some lights that when mounted close to the revolving wheel, rim, would make light same as a generator of old. Sets up a current from the steel rim in the internal magnets and thus lights. No batteries no nothing but mounting. Uses a capacitor to store energy when stopped and the rear flash.
