I've been wondering myself what he's been up to, hopefully he's just been too busy.

I know that he's into the Glastonbury Festival which is now running until the 30th...…. Maybe his band needed tending?

I've been away, focussed on other stuff. Still working on being the undiscovered superstar.

    Sir Lud,
Good to hear you! I've been successful at being undiscovered my entire life.

Tonight I completed my best Hitty Thing percussion instrument so far. 1 x perforated and ridged tray, 1 x slightly smaller baking tray, separated by 4 blocks of wood. Doesn't sound like much, but there's a wide tonal range and good volume from it.

Sort of like this for the big one, gives a rub board sound, also sort of snare drum when used with brushes. The other, plain side, has a remarkably African tone to it.[IMG]

Tonight was it's first outing. The ridged side wasn't as much use as expected, but the flat face of it gave a very sharp snare drum sound. It's excellent for reggae. The edges need more support, there were dents incurred. Also it needs a better strap arrangement to allow standing or sitting.
