Hey everybody,
It's been awhile since I've been on here. I hope everyone is doing well and being safe out there on the roads.

So here is a quick question, just to see if anyone has some insight into this carb (I believe it to be) problem.

The motor is a stock 66cc, with the plain-jane carb that comes in the kit. The bike starts fine and has response all the way up til about 50% throttle...then twisting it past 50% causes the motor to rev as if I had the clutch pulled. Then letting off, the motor "engages" again at about 50% on down.

This isn't my bike. I had a guy bring to me in terrible shape; wasn't sure it would even run, but I got it back together. Anyway, let me know what y'all think.

I have the slide needle set at the midway point. No leaks on the intake or manifold (that I can find).

Thanks!!

That is the clutch slipping, nothing to do with the carb.
You'll want to at least take the cover off, pull the clutch in and spray it down good with some carb or brake cleaner.

You may have to adjust the main spring.
