And now I have a link to hunt them down. Polymobil mopeds, and importantly, the engines. They only seem to be sold in Hungary, and come in both 2 and 4 stroke variants.

Can somebody join me in the detective work?

Why the interest in this particular engine, Lud.

Pedal shaft included in the cases, and a 4 stroke.

That it awesome and thought why it held interest.

The vid, not that ya can trust the sound in a video, but sounded like either it was idling 2 slow or was just a rattle -er. So thought I'd ask

The engines are for sale in silly quantities on Alibaba; there is also a similarly constructed Komatsu Zenoah BE30 2 stroke which would be a rather handy device to fit.
