So um........ I think I'll be there. I won't road trip my bike down there, tho I would like to, but I'll do my best it's a long drive.

We shall see how a high mile 212 does

    Hey Everybody,

I definitely plan on attending this race! Sorry, no pics of my bike getting race ready yet, I am still riding it around town in full fender cruiser mode. I will be switching over to race mode soon with smaller handlebars, race tires, no fenders, no rack, and smaller seat. Hopefully, I will have remedied my "rear belt popping of the rear sheave" issue from the last race. I just can't ditch the belt drive for chain drive, I am committed.
If I do work out the belt issue, I am hoping to race both mid-range and unlimited class with the same bike. It was fun running around the track with Scotto for a few laps during the last unlimited race. Also looking forward to the return of the AKG racing team, they're good people.
Hoping to see friends at the track like Jeff, Norm, Andy, Baird, Brian, Scotto, Dale, Team Apollo, Kevin, DTM crew, Dennis, and everyone else. I really have to remember to pack industrial strength earplugs for those gopeds though, "weeeeng, weeeeng, weeeeeeeeng!!!!" That's the sound of a goped in the pits, apparently they only have idle, then wide open throttle, then idle, then wide open throttle, in quick succession as means of forward movement. Those guys and the mini gokart guys keep these races alive though, so I guess I can't really complain, just gotta protect the ears.

As Scotto says, "see you in the pits", dudes,

    Gilbert

I'll be there with my same old bike from the first race. The usual, I'll dust it off and race it.

race1.jpg race2.jpg race3.jpg I'm planning on being there & racing in the 'Expert 2-Stroke' class.

Here's my bike... It still needs a few parts added & some fine tuning.

I will also be donating a new VMB 2-stroke engine kit as a prize for the beginners class.
I want to encourage new racers to come out & start racing with us, so the kit will be given to the fastest (first time ever on the track) 2-stroke racer. (^)
