I've noticed recently that my bike will idle alright from a cold start, but after heating up, at idle it will die in 1-2 seconds. Is this a problem?

Depends on what motor you're talking about. 2-cycle - are you turning the choke off after starting? Make sure the nut under the air cleaner that holds the choke cover in place isn't loose, and allowing the choke to fall closed regardless of what you've done with the choke lever.

    I don't use the choke. Yes, it's a 2 stroke.

I would remove the air cleaner and check to make sure that choke cover is attached properly and tightly. Squeeze the fuel out of the filter element while you're at it.
