After a somewhat troublesome 5 hour ride in the Colorado mountains by Tin Cup, Colorado I finally got back to my campsite and discovered my engine kill switch didn't work.
No problem, I thought, I'll just pull the spark plug wire from the plug. Guess what? It kept running even though plug cable was pulled and powerpole connectors form magneto were disconnected. I killed engine by engaging the choke on the carb.
I'm thinking the combinatin of a high compression head, hot engine, hot spark plug, caused my engine to run like a a diesel.
Anybody else have this happen to them?
