I went for a ride today!

I've also decided to follow in FR31's footsteps and post some of our local commercial "art" and unusual yard landscaping. I also stopped in to visit an occasional friend!

Starting out I visited a local Mexican resturant that has this in the front parking lot!

Next up the road is a sad old shut down miniature golf course. Still something of a local Icon.

I had to stop here. This is where I met Mrs. Finfan. Too bad it had to close!

This place defies description! The guy is some form of ex-Parks service guy who is extremely into geology and rocks. He moved into this place in 1962!

My friend Cara works nearby. She used to date my step son in high school. Here she is being a "Bike Babe"!

I'm sure many of you have wondered how you would do against a dinosaur on your MB! My thought is "Not too well!":

Now here is the true "Old Western" cliche! Everything you ever saw in an old western movie as a kid!

Here are some random photo's. One is at the front of another miniature golf/arcade type place called "Golf-n-stuff". The second is of the "Arizona Inn". It is a rather high end local place.

This is just a random neighborhood roundabout that I encountered while looking for my next post.

Here is the house I was looking for. It was only a block away!

First another fiberglass icon. The BoonDocks Chianti bottle. Then my friends Ed and Maurya's front yard. I tried to shoot around the compressor and shop vac but he was working on a car.

Everybody who is going to be at the SpookyTooth event take note! This is my recommendation for a "outside the event" gathering place! There were a group of bikers there on the porch with their bikes parked nearby. We joked around a bit about my ride and they were quite friendly! I simply parked my bike with theirs and went in for a drink. I had no worries at all about not locking it up. I can't beleive I didn't take a picture of that!

So this thing was just parked along the road near Nimbus. Any ideas what the heck it is other than some sort of armored attack vehicle?

Cool pictures Finfan! I've stopped at that crazy yard before. Nimbus is the bee's knees for a "off site" get together. The Monkeyshines Ale is my nectar.
