    Hello all,

I just got my first motor kit and I am working with a electra cruiser which is proving to be challenging. I currently ride motorcycles and wanted to build my own on a budget and I'm having fun trying to figure this all out.

Welcome to the forum. Motorized bikes are a bit of a puzzle, because they don't have welded-on brackets for mounting things. You will get good at making the brackets out of things you have laying around.

Yup. You'll have to do some of your own engineering. Engineering-lite, let's say.

    But it's worth it.

Hey thanks all - yeah I've been reading and researching and working with this frame seems to be a bit of a challenge. I'm having clearance issues with my 24x3 rear. The solution was to buy thinner tires so I went with the 2.35 Fat Franks for now, but I eventually want to solve the clearance problem because that fat rear tire looks so cool.
I'll be posting some pictures this weekend.
