I dropped a knee at Grange...oh wait...that was when I wrecked, never mind...
I hear rumors of a new race down at a track in Paris CA, Apex Kart Track? Is this happening?
We are not racing at Grange in Oct.
You missed the only Grange race for 2018.
Paris France? haha
Perris which is infamous for the wack job parents who starved their 13 kids in a house there.
No rumor cause Apex was printed on the May 5 race schedule.
Sat Oct 27th Race and Fri 26th practice day.
Are you racing?
I'll be there. Building a new bike around the minarelli. Lighter, faster, stronger. It's Bionic!
Oh okay, I missed that. I definitely want to check out the Apex track. I will be there!
Scotto's video of our Willow Springs Speedway 20 lap fun race at 6:20pm after our Sat May 5th kart track race.
We were ready to go at 6:05pm as agreed but they delayed so start the video at the 5 to 6 minute mark.
PLEASE HAVE SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing in your race video titles or nobody will find them. Big thanks to all the racers who take and post race videos!
Did they change the Apex track a little?? (it looks a little different now)
You are confusing Apex with Adams.
Adams is the track with all the goats head thorns.
No motorized bikes have ever raced at Apex in Perris.
Yes, you're right... Adams is the track with the big banked turn at the end of the straightaway
Do you ever plan to have races at Adams again?
That was me. I put on the races at Adams.
The track is expensive to rent, I could only rent it for a half day, not enough people showed up to any of the races, I spent a lot of money to have three races there, cancelled the fourth, and never recouped my money.
The owners and employees there are hard to deal with. The last race, the guy shut the lights off early, because "he had somewhere he had to be."
Plus, trying to race and run my own series was almost impossible. My goal was to just have some more races and have fun, but it caused a lot of conflict, a lot of attitudes and a lot of headaches.
Loved the track, though.
That was very nice of you to try to create more races at different tracks. Sorry you didn't get a big enough turn out to at least break even. I guess it makes you appreciate all the BS, drama, stress, and the rest that Neil has to go through to put on these races. Personally, I would like to try different tracks. I like Willow Springs but I think they need to repair the rack some, particularly for the go peds and Grange has some rough spots too, plus, it's cool to try different track configurations. Do you know if any of these tracks allow you to rent by the hour? I mean, if you just show up and nobody is using it, can you pay $40 or something just to try it out for an hour or two?
Pretty sure most tracks have open practice days. Just call them and find out.
Apex is only 22 miles away from me with an 1886' elevation drop. I need new wheels and tires before October . Edit: also gotta stop over revving my engine till race day, throwing a conrod isn't fixable on the hs144f...
Ha! It would be a crime to live that close and not go to the race. Have you ever taken your bike out on the Apex track?
I will believe that when I see you there. You have been threatening to come to a race for a long time.
Do you have our required safety gear?
Just a leather jacket, my helmet isn't dot approved and no pads or gloves. Cash has been an issue, seem broke each time a race rolls around...
Is your helmet full face with a chin bar?
You gotta have some gloves somewhere?
I have loaner knee and elbow pads.
Just to come watch, hang out in the pits and meet everyone is a big $10 for Fri and Sat.
Apex usually charges $15 for spectators but I will probably keep it at 10.
Nah it's an older brain bucket, no face or chin protection. We'll see how things go.
