WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

Trukd, I don't think anyone (me included) has a problem with you letting people know who built your bike, or even recommending Taylor when a relevant question is asked. However I personally feel its irritating and a violation of rules to promote a builder 24/7 even when a member hasn't even...

Boardtrack Racer - Antique Half Mile Flat Track Race - Davenport 2011

Cool video, I posted it a while back and asked why none of us seem to be doing this type of racing.......... This would be soooooo much fun on one of your rides. Especially those 99cc bikes you are building as they would still be very light. It would be cool to enter a vintage speedway event (if...

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

I 100% totally agree Trukd, that's why in that other thread Pat actually defended Silverstate when you questioned the strength of Silverstates frames and said you weren't happy with their Morini mounts, even though you said yourself you have never seen a Silversate frame up close. Then you...

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

I think he complained rather then badmouthed them. We do however agree that both do fantastic work and that there is enough info on here to let the customer decide. As I said you can't go wrong with either vendor. There is no need for threads to turn into constant advertisments for either vendor.

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

Totally agree but if you notice Pat never bad mouthed Taylor, or his work...... To be fair.

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

Not getting upset Trukd, simply stated it was annoying that you seem to promote Taylor over and over and over again on almost every single thread on this site. We get it!!!!!!!! Taylor DOES do beautiful work, nobody is disputing that.

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

The difference is Pat helps support this site through advertising as you pointed, and has done so since I've been a member here. Taylor doesn't...... Just saying

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

Actually, Sportscarpat is always very positive about competition. He actually praises other vendors work on this forum. I can't speak for Pat but it is annoying when Taylor is plugged over and over again on every single post, its been happening for at least a year now. I agree with you though...

WTB: Sportsman flyer gas tank for worksman

Pat has probably single handedly done more for the BTR aspect of Motorbicycling then anyone else, he seems to be a humble guy and I don't think he's targeted you (Trukd) for no reason. Your DAILY plugs for Taylor bikes are getting a little irritating...... Just my $0.02

Need Help on decision Building a New Board Tracker or Old

Try again, i may be wrong here but I think you need to post a few times before it will let you post pics, something to do with stopping spammers I believe.

Need Help on decision Building a New Board Tracker or Old

Trukd I did read your comments carefully, you need to read my comments a little more closely: firstly I never said your comments were "harsh", secondly I never suggested a "cheap bike", I suggested Artspeed and SilverState, it seems you have drawn the conclusion that they are "cheap bikes", not...

Need Help on decision Building a New Board Tracker or Old

Dans bikes arent that expensive???? They arent anywhere as cheap as Artspeeds or Silver States are they? Which both are by all reports quality bikes. you said you havent seen a Silver State up close yet you dont like their engine mounts?? These guys are new, i think that was an unfair...

Need Help on decision Building a New Board Tracker or Old

Taylor does beautiful work but his bikes are more on the expensive side. Arrington shot me a PM and said he wanted a medium priced bike. I'd suggest Silverstate like Motorbicycleracing suggested and also Artspeed, he has very reasonably bikes or frames available, here is a link, hope that helps...

    Lurker's V-twin build

I just read the comments on Pipeburn of Lurkers bike. Seems to me there are a lot of jealous and negative folk over there. Thankfully this site is a lot more positive. Well I love your bike Lurker and totally understand the reasons for building a board track bike. It seems to me they wouldn't...

    1903 Harley Tribute - Quick & Dirty

Just to clarify or expand on what Trukd said, a 700c wheel is the same as a modern 28" wheel (622mm) but isn't the same as a vintage 28" bicycle wheel (635mm)........ Confusing hey? Make sure you check which wheel you have and which tyre you buy...... I have a vintage 28" frame and fitted a 700c...
