    Ethanol killing small engines

According to the guys at Sta-bil, ethanol attracts water which in-turn can cause acids to form. Sta-bil supposedly fixes the ethanol problem. All I know is that my weedeater brand engines run like crap on E-10. This season I'm using fuel with no ethanol (or at least there was no indication on...

Those old Russian plugs are hard to find. I'd like to find them for sale on eBay, Amazon or the like for the sake of collecting. Very interesting that the Russian plug hex is 16mm (5/8 in.). All the plugs available here have a 19mm (3/4 in.) hex or even 20.6mm (13/16 in.) hex. The link was very...

    Ethanol killing small engines

I took the last of the "corn juice" mix and used it in my JD Tractor. The weedeater owner's manual said the engine was not intended for use with corn juice. <--that rhymes ;) I need to find a station that has compatible fuel and fill up my 2 gallon container. I hope the engines are alright...

    Ethanol killing small engines

I've read places that claim ethanol breaks down 2 stroke motor oil. Is there any truth to this? and if so, how is the situation resolved?

    Snork

Yeah Buddy! We got some serious snow here, but its long gone now. I know you guys up there are getting pounded with snow (not trying to rub it in). I wish you well and stay safe as you can up there. I lived in Ohio as a child and we got huge amounts of snow and that kind of weather can be deadly...

    Schwinn 12 Function Bike Computer/Speedometer

I took another look at my front tire and its marked as 26 x 2.125. I originally posted 26 x 1.75 - oops. Its a cruiser with a balloon tire. I'm still confused why the width has an effect on diameter, unless there's the squash factor from the weight of the rider when the rubber meets the road...

    Exhaust Oil Dripping

Where can I find Valvoline oil? I've had excellent performance with Valvoline's other oil products. It would be nice to know who stocks it for the 2 strokers around here.

HEET/GasDry, winter riding and frozen jets

Has anyone tried iso-heet? its supposed to be compatible with 2 stroke gas and diesel engines. I just put a few drops in my fuel tank before I go to bed, I'll see if it fires up tomorrow.

    Damn Thieves...

Sorry to hear what happened! I keep my bike in the garage (fully closed up) I make it a point to keep the garage door down because the good lord only knows who's casing the place. we recently had 11 car break-ins in my neighborhood, so I'm extra careful to not let the crooks catch an eye full if...

    "Firecracker" Pipe

So true guys. I thought I might put all the arguments on the table and let the discussion take its course. I don't ride so much that I would disturb anyone. There are a few people here in my part of the country that have Harley's and Sport bikes with obnoxious/excessively loud pipes and the...

    "Firecracker" Pipe

Yes, This is true for some parts of the country and I Thank You for bringing the issue up. I live in the sticks so its not that big of an issue for me. I put this pipe together just to see what it would do, otherwise it was going in the trash can and I didn't want to waste the opportunity to see...

    "Firecracker" Pipe

OK, Here's the pipe I've been working on. I took a stock pipe and cut it in half, then brazed the cap on the end. I had to grind down the brazed area to make it flush and then I painted it black. The pipe is completely hollow and has no baffle.
