    12V scooter horn wiring

Yes you are right Barely, my bad. I did this diagram and when I sat down to do it I realized I can replace the light switch with my better switch and then I have to do way less custom wiring!(horn and light outputs are the same V and in the same location). However, your thought about wiring...

    12V scooter horn wiring

Hi All, I'm hoping someone with experience doing this can confirm my wiring thoughts for hooking up a Wolo 12V horn to my 48V system. I want to get 12V going anyway to also hook up a light so I ruled out hunting down a cheapo 48V horn. (the DC-DC converter has a Y split on the output). Any...

Great write up Ernst. Thanks. I'll check out the mod thread. I agree, you can't take your hands off the grips to activate! it defeats the purpose!

    turn signal lights for bikes

@Tony, I did check them out in my original search and found I couldn't get them in Canada. After a while I gave up because I wanted to wire it into my system. Plus I have dutch style handle bars so I would need to take my hands off to press the indicator. @Sangese, We are planning on making it...

Cannot seem to get it to idle.

I had the same problem that I could never seem to fix. I got a new engine since I needed a couple new parts and with the worry that this industry would get shut down I got another engine so I would have a replacement for everything (a Grubee skyhawk). Once I got it it looked so much better than...

    turn signal lights for bikes

Lol I guess I'm a China girl. Good point on the 12V though. tnx. Cost is a big concert but We are going for a mass produced unit (although in low numbers initially) so I hope it will be premium but somewhere around $129 (or under) We are getting quotes on the prototype design in order to cost it...

    turn signal lights for bikes

@tacomancini I will look at that for this next rev of boards. Right now we didn't go the charging route but rather the (NiMH) batteries work with the input to "fill in the gaps". There reasons for this but I think it's worth another look. Certainly I would like it this way!

    turn signal lights for bikes

@ Taco, thanks for that. I will check that out. As it stands we do have a 6V dynamo input but making sure it works with the "6V" output from the motor is a good point. My light just gives a faint glow right now lol. @42 Blue, Daylight visible is key and the existing prototype is visible in the...

    turn signal lights for bikes

Thanks for the feedback! I actually hadn't found the Maxxon one yet. I am not aiming for cheap. I am aiming for well built and well designed so it will be expensive compared to $14 (will be getting some preliminary costing soon) but it will be water proof and rugged. I think shock mounting the...

    Hello from Ireland

Expect more time than the "2 - 6 hours" the manual says it will take to put your bike together. Part of the joy is getting it all to work. Expect some gotchas along the way. Also don't make your maiden voyage too long! Something is bound to break or rattle off. so give yourself some short trips...
