    Ghost racer 49cc trans problems

I'd suggest you try to read the writing on the belt. That might give you the exact replacement size. If not, measure the diameter of the clutch teeth. If it's 2.0", the pulley is 8mm pitch. If the answer is close to 1.25", it's 5mm pitch. To calculate the belt length, google www.pfeifer.com...

    4 stroke transmission issue

From your picture, it looks like the pulley hole is worn, out of round..... and the woodruff key is too small. You might have to bore the pulley to the next size and install a sleeve. If the hole is 5/8", have the machinist bore to 3/4". You can buy them on ebay, like this one: 5/8" x 3/4" x...

" I am STILL sitting here wondering how the **** any pump, regardless of how powerful, can cause my engine oil to deplete simply by running the pump, even when that oil is being returned to the sump at the same rate once the system is stabilized." Pumps suck by the gallons. A 35- gallon pump...

I wasn't aware your engine was slanted with the cylinder in the downward position. Even worse than tilting the other direction. Why? Your rod journal may be in the dubious position of crank sloshing and robbing hp. In other words, adding more oil and your crank and piston cylinder could be...

Hmmm.... Firstly, a pint is a half quart, not a quarter quart. Secondly, I'm not saying to suck that oil out in the middle of nowhere. I'm suggesting this to be like a typical oil change at home or a convenient location, as often as you like. Thirdly, by the time your engine light goes on, the...

Your engine could breathe from anywhere on it, like the governor post hole, oil sensor wire hole, even the oil filler holes. Here's a quick, simple, cheap, easy, trouble-free way of filtering your oil: Use a turkey baster to suck out all the hot oil. Engine off, of course. Run the oil thru a...

    8 speed 79cc revival

There is literally a storm going on in the engine crankcase. Oil and vapors are constantly being whipped everywhere. Do you REALLY think your gravity/electric pump-fed device will allow you to get rid of that oil dipper? The crankshaft runs the length of the crankcase. Where exactly will you...

You should study more about automotive engines. Oil in automotive engine is pressure fed internally thru galleys and passages. NEVER splashed on. The industry spends billions of dollars to eliminate crank splash and crank slosh. That's common knowledge. My point is, don't try to reinvent the...

    8 speed 79cc revival

All modern day vehicle engines pressure-feed their cranks, cams and rod bearings. Absolutely no manufacturer dumps oil on cranks and cams. More expensive engines run dry sumps (zero oil in their crankcases to prevent oil slosh and drag). Profit margin and consumer demand are the reasons that...

You could Google. Someone probably did it before. You do know not to run the pump while the engine is running. If you removed your oil sensor and your pump is powerful enough, your engine will starve and self-destruct.

Wow, you're right! Suntour forks were cheap; I bought mine for $70 delivered. Now they're gone or being scalped for $200. You just need to keep looking; all you need is one.

What do we do if stranded?

Put it on the bus rack and ride the bus home. Find an Uber/Lyft driver with a bike rack. Call a tow truck and pay his high rates. If you run outa gas, lock the bike up, walk, call Uber/Lyft or hitch a ride to/from the gas station.

Give your Gasbike the Water Bottle Tank

Many years ago, I used those aluminum bottles as fuel tanks, as well as reserve tanks. I drilled the thick plastic cap and threaded 6" of fuel line into the bottle. The cap had a tiny vent hole, so the tank worked ok. In fact, I was looking for a less obvious fuel tank for my 212 build. I just...
