That's....interesting to be sure. Your attention to detail, and clever use of off-the-shelf hardware to fab parts is really cool. Scary lack of brake power, but must be a fun ride. My only comment would be that IMHO it'll achieve that boardtrack look more if you drop the vintage headlight, flip...

Re: Ridley.. anyone seen these? Apparently someone has snapped a picture of some Ridleys in the flesh. It's definitely a FELT MP with what looks like a brass gas cap Vintage on Flickr - Photo Sharing! Maybe they're working together. Maybe the engine even has a warranty!!

I doubt anyone would go to the trouble to make new ones. How about a vintage one? A quick google image search produced this. You can get the whole bike (ladies, sorry) with the fork you're looking for attached here: Barney's Bicycle Interesting geometry. I wonder how it rode?

I thought it was the other way around. The Schwinn type is a girder, and the Monark (Crossbow) is a springer. At least, it is if you search Google.

I saw one of the cheaper springers on my way to work this morning... covered in rust. The cheap ones are not plated well, and will succumb to the weather more easily than a quality one.

Nice motor mount, did you fabricate those? You may have a secondary income if you want to sell those here.

Re: Ridley.. anyone seen these? I'm not sure how credible these guys are... they've lifted their website photos directly from the FELT website, and have photoshopped the engine into place, and in some cases, the gas cap. Felt Bicycles 2008 if you look at Ridley's outdoor product photos...

It looks like they have taken 4 cruisers built by FELT and added a chinese engine and a gas cap (in photoshop) and are charging $2000 smackers for them. Anyone know anything about the company? Ridley Vintage Motorbikes : Models

I'll have to look for some online service manuals for some pre-purchase data. The sachs engines seem to be pretty plentiful on ebay in Europe. If anyone has any other recommendations please let me know.

Has anyone on the forum had experience using a 50cc Moped engine on a bike? I was looking at some Sachs engines and they are much better looking than most Chinese ones.
