    Old Guys Simplex moto-peddle bike

Rick, must have jumped to the wrong conclusion when you said the bars were double clamped. Also thought i was seeing what look like polished tube clamps situated just under the actual bar clamps. Love the look of racing bars, but with my torn right shoulder tendons they don't suit me when...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Same here, Steve. I might have just the die you're looking for. I have 1" dia, cycle steer tube dies with 24 and 26 tpi. Let's get some kind of small tool collective going. I'm happy to 'pass it on' when it comes to infrequently used - often single use - tools. Air mailing either of these dies...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Making slow progress on the forks for the latest build. After purchasing a cool set of vintage girder forks for the latest build, I've since incurred the extra expense of buying 4 x links and 4 x spindles needed to complete them. Steerer tube needed threading further AND fork legs need...

Definitely prefer the springer forks on this build Rick. But it's always good to have the option of swapping thing round according to how you feel. Did you slit the top of the fork tubes to allow the threaded legs of the handlebar clamps to be secured by another pair of tube clamps?

Nice looking springers Rick. I reckon they'll look splendid on the e-V twin. Speaking of price hikes..... I just noticed the drop loop frame I recently purchased on AliExpress is now inexplicably advertised by the same seller at more than twice the 112 quid price I paid. Was seriously...

The Epic an electric tri car.

Likewise Steve. Have a good one. Eat...Drink...and be Merry....and forget about what's going on in the world. For couple of days anyhow.

Wish I had more room in this rental flat Rick. Then I'd be able to get my other three bikes out of the storage facility and under one roof here. Could even get round to fettling the finishing touches on my Gnome Rhone build if that were so.

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Thanks for asking Tom. Jen is still hanging on in there, bless her. I spend the best part of each day trying to tempt her with little morsels of this 'n that without much take-up of what's been offered. Truth is, those 300 cal. Fortisip milkshake-like drinks are now virtually all she's...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Forks on this build will also require substantial reworking. A glance at the pics here will reveal the axle hole on the forks is a lot lower than the axle hole in the rear dropouts. (The grout lines on the floor help when vizualizing this). I'm using brand new Honda drum-braked 18" wheels front...

This po'boy only had 5 x M9 bolts in his parts bin, Tom.

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

WHIPPING UP SOMETHING A LITTLE SPECIAL IN THE KITCHEN... Latest build is finally taking shape. Frame has required a fair bit of modification to fit-in with my plans for this build. Managed to measure-up and dice the Chinese frame into three pieces before slightly extending it by 1-3/8" to...

The Epic an electric tri car.

Looks great Steve. That carb is jewel-like. Imagining it was a bit of a chore removing the fins where the manifold locates. Steady hand needed with the grinder or cut-off disk.

Some of my desk top art.

Good job! Love how you captured the 'momentum' in your speedway piece. Impressive when using so few actual pieces in the sculpture. Keep it up and keep sharing the photos.

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Steve, Saw the same Wheeler Dealers episode just recently. Metal spinning is an art. The experts tend to make it look easy. Plenty YouTube vids which do exactly that. If you are interested in a pair of domed brass tank ends I'm pretty certain that could be arranged. Colin, the guy from the...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

CALLING ALL BIKE BUILDERS. Regarding the spun aluminium domed tank ends I mentioned in my previous post, I just heard back from the local metal spinning outfit and they can make anything, any-size ..... provided a specific form tool is to hand. That pair of domed tank ends I'm after are to fit a...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Quietly been stashing a few bits and pieces for my next build, using the Chinese-built drop loop frame I recently purchased from AliExpress. Splashed out on a new drum braked 1.40"x18" rear wheel from a Honda CG125. The frame's 170mm drop-outs were spread slightly to 190mm and the axle slots...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Thanks for your thoughts and kindness guys. Our cats substituted for the kids Jen and I never had. Wasn't for the sake of trying - following years (and $$$) worth of medical tests in our thirties, 'unexplained infertility' meant it just wasn't meant to be. Never bothered either of us, so just...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Still plugging away with Jen's care. Getting her through another day at a time is the best and only way to look at it. She's barely eating enough to keep a mouse alive and we would have come to the end of our journey weeks back if if it weren't for the supplement drinks (basically 300 calorie...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

That 26" drop loop frame I purchased via AliExpress showed up a couple of weeks back. Been too busy looking after Jen to even bother opening the cardboard box it arrived in. Finally got round to doing that today, and.... well let's just look on the positive side and say that the parcel's weight...
