You know what I’d Love to motorize,,,

I have sat in one of them. You seriously do not want to be in something so invisible on a public highway. You would very soon be aware how a beetle feels when it runs for cover.

    UK Board Racer Build

See if you can find/borrow a thread gauge, it will tell you what pitch you have and then you can sort out a correct filler cap. Flip tops tend to fit to welded in filler necks, so that sort of limits you.

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Benelli, I think it was, created a production bike with a 4 stroke conversion of their 2 stroke Leoncino. There are some small sprayer engines around now that breathe a petroil mix in through the crankcase and then to the inlet valve, it eliminates problems with which way up it's used.

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

I think it's just a double overhead cam job, the other one looks like a pushrod engine.

The floor tom now has a shammy leather skin! It is heavily affected by humidity, I'll have to carry a hair dryer everywhere to maintain optimum tension. It does sound much better though. The cajon has been modded as well, the sound board is replaced by thick fabric on a frame for more of a...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Pete, I'm sorry Pete, but I found this page, and I'm sorry, Pete, really I am, but it's something that people should know about, and I'm REALLY sorry about all the engineering waiting to happen to the poor little Guzzino. And don't click on the Moto Rumi, no, don't...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

Depending on the Sparta's output and speed, it might fall under the Low Power Moped rules and be comparatively easy to register. There is a small but healthy market for cyclemotors here, so moving it on won't be a problem. If I didn't have my sadly stalled projects on the go, I think I'd even...

Hi from the UK - INDIAN Board Tracker tribute, my first build

The bike was modified in Japan by a Mr Nara, I have found. I like the 3/4 size Italian Army Guzzi look he achieved.

    Indian Tadpole

A lighter note. A story about journalist in the old days in Poland, accompanied everywhere by an "interpreter". He became tired of the window dressing and smell of fresh paint everywhere he went, so he decided to use an old journo trick to find out the real truth of what life was like. Took...

    Motorized Bicycle from Ukraine

I think those are the older D-5 or similar motor, with the crankshaft acting as a rotary valve. The piston port China Girls which are the common design now are derived from a later, cheaper manufacture, D-8.

I've been looking at the FBS, and I have to ask how much of it is actually from an old speedway bike frame. That tank certainly looks like a Jawa item.

Mind you, the time spent learning to hang on to timing and reading the moment in an improvisational context is never to be dismissed.

Monday night's open mic at the Swan in Coleshill (quite an ancient town if you believe the archaeoligists) saw the full kit in operation. It works quite well. A new career beckons based on £14 of equipment, rather than 34 years and thousands on guitars. Strange old world.

;0And the latest! Me and Clive played at an open mic in Lichfield, on leaving, he noticed this hdpe barrel being thrown out. It is now rehoused :) and has a canvas skin cross it's mouth. We will see how well it performs and how durable the canvas is when played. This picture is of the same...

This site needs an English lesson.

There used to be an old euphemism/coded message found in some of London's phone boxes on cards with phone numbers. "French lessons", I think you have all drawn your own conclusions; I am concerned, however, what form "English lessons" may take. :)

The box went to Henley in Arden on Sunday night, it did the job as anticipated. I also used my old Phoenix amp and tripped over a Muddy Waters slide sound with it. I am a happy bunny. On the development front, this will take care of the jingle sound I was expecting to get from a tambourine...
