    80/69 CC Take off speed

Hi Guys, I just finished my build of a cheap Canadian Tire Cruiser. The engine (standard 80cc China) starts and idles great. With the clutch pulled in, i can rev it fine, the engine sounds good. When I try to drive it, I have to rev it hard and slip the clutch to get it moving. Is it...

Is This A Bad CDI or Stator?

I just finished building my first bike, and have no spark. My CDI readings are similar to yours. Blue to Black is 6M Ohm and Plug to blue is also 6M Ohm. My Mag readings are the standard results posted all over this site and it can make a bulb glow when I spin it with a drill. I'd be interested...

    Overheating Engine

Any auto store, canadian tire etc. home depot/ rona (in the lawn mower section). There are generally 3 sizes, you want the 3/4 inch one (if yours is a Z4C plug), I'd say look at the lawn mower sections first. Just make sure you can exchange it if you need a different size.

    Overheating Engine

Air leaks cause lean conditions which kills the 2 strokes. Same goes for incorrect carb settings. If in doubt, run rich. There are guides on this site (or links) to read your fuel/air mix from your spark plug colour.

    anything on boy go fast

+1 on what Mristeright1 said, check with the Vendor first to see if he will replace the unit. He does not open the packages before he ships them (although, I would suggest to him that he start doing so.) If he will not replace that obviously defective unit, please let us know so we can avoid...

    anything on boy go fast

I got my Kit from Him, his shipping to Canada was a week, damn fast. The kit is the same as elsewhere, although it does have larger fins, 8mm cylinder studs and needle bearings on the connrod, pretty standard these days. I wasnt happy with the exhaust though, it's the Black one and it's welded...

Help! My head is spinning from the plethora of available kits!

After reading everything on this excellent site, I thought it safe to whip out my Credit Card and buy a 2 stroke "80cc" Chinese Kit. I've seen these advertised as 65cc, 67.Xcc, 70cc and 80cc. I've seen them advertised as square engines, round engines, black engines, new Roller bearing...

    Hi From Manitoba, Canada.

Hey Guys, Nice forum! I've been lurking for a few weeks and thought I'd say Hi. I do not yet own a motor small enough to fit on a bicycle, but have been rebuilding small and large engines for many years. I have some questions about kits that I'll post in the forum. -Ritchie
