Hey guys this my new thread for my new direction of my hybrid peoject. I have a ajs yxr 125 trail\enduro bike frame I got a number of years ago, tried getting going and never worked, have decided to just go full hog and make a pure electric bike, I am looking to go with a golden motor 10kw motor and either the Standard controller or the Kelly kls7275d controller, any advice you guys have would be greatly welcomed.

Eric I hope I haven't broke any rule putting this in here, I think it's the best place for it, even as a motorcycle not a bicycle

Sounds like a great project. Can’t advise on the GM or kelly. I did consider the gm 5kw before going with a rear hub. A lot of people are excited about the qs mid drive motors, like the qs-138 70h. I run their 3000w 205 50h hub at over 23000 watts (thread). Talk about underrated. You also have other options, there is a company Montenergy that makes strong motors.

The numbers on the qs motors are stator diameter and magnet height. Bigger diameter= more torque/leverage, bigger magnet height= more copper.

You should check out a Facebook group called “electric motorcycle builds”. They can help with the high power questions much better than I.

I kinda want to stick to mid mount as I already have a roller frame, I never got that about them, it's not exactly clear as for what is the more powerful higher wattage or amperage motor, never mind motoenergy numbering system seems totally random to me, I think I might be in there, I am on at least 3 or 4 electric bike or ev specific groups, could you maybe throw a line to specific one you mean?

This is the frame I plan to use, not actual frame, just to give idea of what it would have looked like, and the controller and motor combos I am considering outside the normal paired stuff straight from golden motor, I will say there customer service lacks in the human touch, I was considering going 60v at first and asked about if there controllers could be reprogrammed to take 60, they just replied they could sell me a 60v setup, even though I wanted to get a universal voltage controller, so I started looking and found miromax in Lithuania also sells them, with preconfigured aftermarket controllers, so I started looking at what they offered and I have settled in the 10kw motor but am stuck between the Standard controller, or either of these 2 controllers, any advice welcomed, also any guidance on doing a complete scratch built lighting loom as I am starting from a bare roller frame
