did my motor die?

i see. if i lower the motor, i will no longer have the ability to pedal and wont even be able to start the motor because of that. this happens already when the motor leans to the left and becomes misaligned. what kind of spacer would i need exactly? or is there any way i can extend the pedal more out to the side so that it is not directly under the motor?
I haven't had pedal clearance problems on any of the bikes I've built, the pedal comes close on both sides but doesn't touch. You have removable crank arms so you can get a wider set from one of the vendors on the side of the forum or ebay, amazon etc.

Angle iron is the proper name, you will need to shape the edge to contact more of the frame, the larger the contact area the more stable the engine will be.
allen, on the first link you provided, the first picture suggest that product is not compatible with my engine, my mount gap seems to be about an inch and a half wide from the inside to the inside, and 2 and a half inches from outside to out side. would it still work? the second product is not quite clear how it works, it cant tell if there are even any holes to mount the engine. so im not sure about it, i wish i can see more pictures or videos of that one. what do yall think?
Yes! The second one has holes for the engine that particular pic don't show them...Also using this to gain space, measure your frame diameter, go to auto parts store and buy 2 muffler clamps which will fit the frame. Toss the u-bolts which came with the muffler clamps and use only the saddles. You may be able to use the muffler clamp u-bolts or the engine mount u-bolts, whatever will work for your application. Install the clamp saddles face up, mount plate on engine then set and place engine on top of saddles. If you need more height add washers between the clamp saddle and the mount plate.
here's a pic. I know hard to see, I got table leg ends on the end of the u-bolts for cosmetic purpose so tis hard to see, but you get the idea. Also a pic and link to the exact mount I used.

Jerry a lot of times the frame angle and the flat mounting surface of the engine are not the same, the adjustable mount that fits the frame tube size would be ideal, you can use longer mounting bolts and flat washers as spacers between the mount and engine to take out any gaps.
yea its really hard to see with black on black. i just ordered the one you gave me in the second link, the double u bolt one, as it seems closer to the right diameter than the one i have now. I just hope the u bolts are not spaced too close on this one. the further apart, the more sturdy right? ill keep yall posted
I think the better your U-bolts / with saddles fit the more sturdy. You may need to re-drill holes for your u-bolts into the new mount. Some simple mod/fab you may have to do. That's a small diam. frame you got there. You gotta make it happy.
im back everyone. I solved the problem by mounting the motor a lot lower. but that created a new issue for me. I cant pedal anymore, the motor interferes with the path of the left crank arm so I cant pedal. is there anyway I can get the crank arm to extend out more just by an inch or so? or any other solutions to this?
