I think this was a better than average year.

For one thing the weather was really nice, not too HOT and not too NOT rainy!
And it seems every year there is a Cannonball ride a lot of those folks will stop there on their way to the East Coast.

And as some of you may know the nearby National Motor Cycle Museum of American closed it's doors September 4th. And they had a high profile auction of the collection Wednesday through Saturday that following week.


So i think a lot of the big names in the collecting world were also at Davenport because of the impending auction.

One thing that i have noticed is prices for the old stuff had seemed to of held steady for several years during the early 2000-teens and was then somewhat reasonable~ (for example a 19-teens Indain in good unrestored condition could be had for $20K).

But over the last 10 years or so the prices on everything have really sky rocketed!
