Regarding Velo's inner tube recommendation.
When I first mounted tires on my Flyer, I went to Wally World and bought Bell branded inner tubes. One tire went flat before I mounted the wheel. When I tore it down, There was a spot in the inner tube that was tissue thin.
Back to Wally World and found not so prominently displayed Goodyear inner tubes and like Velo's Kenda's very robustly constructed. So both wheels got new inner tubes. Tires are still tight one year later.

You guy rock! Lol I’m not big on a loud muffler. Bad enough trying to hear with a helmet then a loud pipe...just don’t work for me.Not sure what I’m going to do at the end of the pipe. If it’s not to bad it will stay as is. If bad I will need a 1” muffler...not a Rlv type.
Early Harleys had an effective muffler. Enough so as to acquire the nickname "Silent Gray Fellow". When unrestricted exhaust was needed they had a manually operated bypass gate. I have not gotten a good look at how they are constructed. And I only live about 25mi from Milwaukee. Go figure.

Thats the tticket! Harly style can with a thumb operated cutout I THINK they called them "Town and Country" exhausts. If you notice on the tubes I recomended they are oversized for 2.125x26 tires. They fit fine in thick bricks. Little talc powder and they settel in just fine AND because they fill the space fully prior to being inflated they dont stretch out so much leaving them nice and thick once up to pressure.

The longer pipe would be the tailpipe and the shorter the input from the header. You'd have to figure your own cutout and kinda baffels you'd want in yours
I run a 10" x 1.75" pipe on my Harley peashooter and it was racing loud! I wanted the look but not the sound & made a 1" long slip fit "baffle" with what amounts to a washer with a 5/8" hole welded inside the tube & a set screw to hold the little devil in place. I wasn't expecting it to do much but it's what I'm still running. It feels as fast but doesn't sound as fast. It's basically what we did as teenagers to Cushman and Mustang scooters pull the baffles from the pipe & put a shorty in it's place to hopefully satisfy the local police. These old scooters didn't sound bad either. Playing with the length of the baffle to get the sound to ones liking was part of the process. My old 8 hp Cushman Eagle ended up with about a 4" length of 1" pipe drilled with a couple of dozen 3/16" holes welded to two of the aforementioned baffle plates one on each end of the pipe & sized to slip fit inside the stock exhaust pipe. It seems the stock baffle was about 3 times as long and was steel packed. A guy can have fun getting it just right....

Interesting find. Some time ago I acquired The Complete Harley Davidson Encyclopedia. the best photos of the muffler have a hinged dump gate terminating the exhaust pipe. Impinged exhaust ducts right angle in to the muffler can. There is no tail pipe like the repro has.
The eBay price? With a little aforethought I could produce them for much less. Actually the Harley muff resembles a mini Walker muff.
Incidentally Walker Muffler started in Hartford Wi.

I do have a 1” exhaust rain guard that I may attempt to use.Might have to drill some small holes in till I get the exhaust where it needs to be. Then...
My idea was kinda like Velo with a manual operating lever. This way i can open her up when I’m away from the residential areas.
Well I’m almost there ..have to make my throttle cable and kill switch then done! I’m going to be filming( or what ever they call it today)the first pulls on the fresh build. Now this is my first complete engine rebuild and upgraded all at once. So we may get
