The law in Texas is pretty simple. If it does 20 mph and pedals it is a motor assisted bicycle. If it doesn't pedal it is a motorcycle. If it goes 30 mph or faster and pedals it is a moped. As projects go this rates pretty high on my list

Welcome to the forum, good looking bike. Keep a close watch on the fenders, they sometime break because of vibration. There has been some bad accidents over the years.

Very Nice! Good strong look to it. Screams utility. Nice big Red White and Blue cherry on top. I love it! As Greg says above, Watch those fenders. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Ernie. We do keep an eye on fenders & all aspects of safety, but also have a lot of fun with our hobby. I really enjoy the bikes that others build and you have a nice one!
